Profile

Dr. Krishna

In 2014, Dr. Krishna earned her Bachelor of Chemistry degree from the University of Delhi. Continuing her academic journey, she pursued a Master of Science (MSc) at the University of Delhi's Department of Chemistry from 2014 to 2016. During this period, her research focused on exploring diverse experimental methods for polymeric reactions. From 2017 to 2022, Dr. Krishna joined the drug delivery group at the University of Delhi, where she embarked on a PhD journey. Her doctoral research concentrated on investigating the synthesis methods of amphiphilic-based supramolecular architectures designed for drug delivery applications. Following the completion of her PhD, Dr. Krishna dedicated 7 months to a Postdoctoral research position at the City College of New York, CUNY. During this period, her primary focus was on the study of expanded DNA-modified bases. Recently, Dr. Krishna joined a new research group at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, specializing in medicinal chemistry. Her current research revolves around a drug discovery project aimed at treating Stargardt disease, a rare inherited retinal disorder. The project involves the development of novel inhibitors targeting RPE65, along with the exploration of other related aspects.
